Oklahoma COVID-19 Remembrance Project
Although the COVID-19 death toll in 2020 has far surpassed that of tornadoes, floods or other tragedies in a given year, it has done so mostly out of sight.
This project is a place to share our collective grief.
A place to reflect on what we've lost.
Livestream of the 1 Year Commemorative Ceremony
Audio: The first 3 minutes, there were technical issues with the mic. Abbie gave an introduction and Tulsa Council Member, Lori Decter Wright, began her song.

Created by Toby Gregory of Tulsa, each cross is a life lost to COVID-19 in Oklahoma. The memorial was initially erected in his front yard, but since then the crosses have been relocated to Forest Park Christian Church at 91st and Mingo.

1 Year Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony
The 1-year anniversary of the first reported COVID-19 death in Oklahoma marks the date we will be dismantling this memorial.
After this commemorative ceremony, during the last weeks of March, family and friends will have the opportunity to come claim a cross for the loved ones they've lost at their convenience.
